InFOCuS[Hard X-ray Balloon Observation]　Launch

フライト日：７月５日(日本時間７月６日) 到達予定高度３９km 気球基地：米国テキサス州パレスタイン	Flight date: Jul. 5, 2001,evening(CDT) Expected elevation: 39km Balloon base: Palestine, Texas, U.S.A.

打ち上げ間近のInFOCuS。左端は気球、ゴンドラは右端クレーンに吊られている。 (気球打ち上げ場にて) Launch readied InFOCuS at the launch site. Balloon is seen in the left side, and the gondola is hanged by the crane "Tiny Tim" (in the right side).

InFOCuS[Hard X-ray Balloon Observation]　Gondola & Telescope Recovery

ここには写っていませんが、ヘリコプターでの回収となりました。熱に弱い望遠鏡が長時間炎天下にさらされないよう、できるだけ速やかに引き上げるためです。ヘリコプターでの回収は望遠鏡のみ。ゴンドラ本体は数時間後、その場で解体されトラックで無事回収されました。

地地点。見渡す限りの畑のど真ん中でした。 Landing point. It was the center of a extensive field.
